    Indeed.

In fantasy news, I am currently leading the Some Idiots Allowed league by 32 points.

Are the rest of you even playing?

I've got 72 points, only 16 out of 1st place. It's tough to draft in NL-only. First off, we start with 10 keepers. That limits the number of quality players. My first pick was Fielder. After the 1st round, you've got to really draft smartly. Winn was probably my worst pick in the 10th or 12th round. Callaspo was a DL move after the draft, just until Nick Johnson comes back. Izturis is what he is. I was hoping he'd return to form from '05. Other than that, I'm top 4 in most of the hitting categories. My pitching staff has the 2nd-best ERA and 3rd-best WHIP in the league, 2nd in W/QS and 3rd in K's.

Not a bad team all in all.

And to think, I almost didn't keep Beckett. I like him.

I thought he'd have a good year. He just needed a season to acclimate to the new league.

I'd love to have Beckett, but since he's a member of the Red Scum, that automatically disqualifies him from being on my roster.

Funny, as a Dodgers fan -- DraftDodgers (try to draft Dodgers) -- I vowed never to have a Giant on my team. Winn is the first one. You'd think I could have done better. But I only drafted him for the potential of 20-25 stolen bases.

First rule of winning at fantasy baseball...be ready to throw real-life team loyalty out the window. I have three fantasy teams this year. Two Pirates between the three of them.

Then again, the Pirates suck, so that may be a part of the equation.

Sheffield's burst coincides with me playing him in my work league. Go figure.

Well, as a Tiger fan, I ask you to keep playing him. :D

As long as Sheffield is pissed off, I suggest playing him. Every swing he takes he wants the ball to explode. I fully expect it to one of these days.
