We've got a 9 yr old rescue choc lab and a 4 yr old Aussie; lots of hair and boarding costs (vacation time) but they bring so much joy to the household.

Yep had two when I was a kid. So loyal, will never run away (at least not in my estimation) or try to go out the door. Always running around to check on everyone. He's a great dog. Do you have one?

Except my best buddy's Aussie fears me now. I think she believes I'm the Grim Reaper. We used to always take his dog along when we visited. But he had to have her put down. The dog has been wary of me ever since. I have known her since she was a pup, but she's scared of me.

No. My best friends parents have had 2. Comanche (RIP) and Cheyenne, who will no longer come near me.

The two whippets I have now, Gadget (3) and Tyler (9). Tyler never does anything wrong. If Gadget could figure out how to feed himself, he would murder me. It's a rare day he doesn't make me laugh, though.

Too bad; my buddy had a Doberman pup in college and after 6 mos his parents had to "rescue" her from our condo; even 15 yrs later she always knew me.

Well that just means you have to get your own Aussie now!

Would love one, but 2 dogs is my max, so might be a while.
