That has already been discredited as a lie Ms. Marvel told to try to get Spider-Woman to come around to her side.

He's dead. Maybe they'll bring up some ridiculous way for him to return from the grave, but at this moment Steve Rogers is dead.

 

He won't stay dead. Nobody stays dead in the Marvel Universe.

 

Is Captain Marvel (Mar-Vell) still dead?

 

No. They just brought him back...sort of. It's a version of himself from the time just before he got sick. Don't ask. I don't understand it.

There are certain characters whose deaths were so recognized, so historic, so . . . gee, that happened a long time ago, so let's just let it lie. Mar-Vell is one of them.

Of course, so was Bucky. And Jason Todd.

And Colossus' brother Mikhail, for that matter.

Ugh. God forbid they just create new, compelling characters.

 

They have to bring back Captain America. Killing him off this week has bummed me out. Cap's the man, the myth and the legend. Legends don't die. They just fade away.

 

Or, in this case, get gunned down during a perp walk.
