An Arkansas-Houston matchup would be fun to watch.

If Texas somehow lost to Nebraska, we could have two former SWC matchups: Texas-TCU and Arkansas-Houston.

If ND ends up in the Motor City Bowl against CMU, that stadium will fill with U-M and MSU fans ready to give Charlie a going away party. I would love to see LeFevour kill the Irish.

If Notre Dame doesn't, while I haven't counted, wouldn't that put the pool of bowl-eligible teams dangerously close to the number of spots filled? I'd love nothing more than to see a 5-7 shitball get into a bowl game.

I would probably follow UConn to its bowl--either the Papajohn's in Birmingham or the St Pete's bowl. Tampa would be a ton more fun and a lot easier to get to. But that game is the 19th and PJs is on January 2nd.

    Any suggestions for B-Town?

Auburn wants Northwestern in the Outback. If Hawaii somehow beats (or even scares the hell out of) Wisconsin, they may get them.

The 16th Ave. Church where the bombing was is an interesting visit in Birmingham. There is a park and a Civil Right museum across the street. Don't know that direction you'd be coming from, or if you were flying, but there is a hell of a lot of history in Alabama - Tuskeegee, Montgomery, Selma, Hank Williams grave.

Just get hammered. And stay hammered. It'll help you handle the realization that you're in Birmingham.

Yeah, Birmingham is basically Shreveport without casinos. There's some decent historical stuff if you know where to look and a few decent bars in the UAB area, but it's not the type of place you'd want to visit voluntarily.

All the talk about Oregon State falling to the Vegas Bowl leaves out one interesting point. With BYU projected to go to that game it would be the highest ranked potential opponent for any Pac 10 team outside of the Rose. Figure the winner of Arizona-USC gets the Holiday and Stanford and Cal will go to the Emerald and Sun Bowls respectively.

The irony of BYU in the Las Vegas Bowl will always amuse.
