I'm sad the MAC is not relevant this year - a year when college football was upside-down. I was at Ball State when it went to the Motor City Bowl a decade ago - and was sure that was the first of many. Turned out to be the last until yet another crappy bowl in a cold setting.

The bright side was every year at least one team had a superstar that kept the conference interesting. Hell, Ball State even took Michigan to the wire last year. Now we can't even pull an App State in a year full of App States and Stanfords.

 

Cheer up, W-b, Ball State managed to hold Rutgers under 600 yards Saturday.

 

I would have watched but I knew Rice was going to run over them.
