Running Bonds home run thread

    This claim of a collective yawn about Bonds getting the record is pathetic. Bonds most certainly has the world's attention regardless of what smart ass journalists say. At 43 years old he is still one of the best hitters in the game. Bonds will own both home run records and keep on slugging. Give it up to the man.

    I'm curious as to why Yahoo!.com's running boxes don't have an alert at the bottom of the page when Bonds homers. When Thomas was chasing 500 and he would homer it would say something like: FRANK THOMAS HIT HIS 497TH HOME RUN OF HIS CAREER WITH ONE OUT IN THE SIXTH INNING.

    When Bonds homers there is nothing.

    Why is that?
