Mark Richt from Georgia makes a good point this morning about the talk that "So-and-So U. didn't even win its own conference." Georgia (and Kansas, for that matter) did, in fact, win its division. It was a co-division championship, with Tennessee (Missouri) winning the tiebreaker. So don't begrudge UGa and KU for not being in the conference title game.

ESPECIALLY when Ohio State wins the Big Ten championship with one loss. What if the Big 12 didn't have a championship game and didn't have divisions, a la the Big Ten? KU and Mizzou would've tied for the conference title at 7-1 and OU would be out of the BCS mix.

Jesus, all this is giving me a headache.

I voted Ohio State and LSU.

As an aside: Lupica just said "human polls." What the hell other kind of polls are there?????

Anybody who actually has seen Hawaii play this year would not vote or the Bows. Washington beat Boise State, damn near undid the Bows last night and finished dead last in the Pac-10. The WAC is pathetic.

Sorry, Georgia. The closest thing we have to a playoff is the conference season. If you're eliminated during that phase, I don't see why you should be given a shot now.

Take the champs of the two best conferences, whatever they are, and let them have at it.

Hawaii's undefeated. They've beat no one.

Ohio State has one loss. They've beat no one.

Why is Ohio State a shoo-in?

Because for some reason, which I do not fully understand, the champion of the fifth- or sixth-best conference -- a team which has beaten a grand total of ONE team ranked in the BCS top 25 -- has been deemed worthy.
