I think the trivia line is: A European team has never won a World Cup off the continent.

I too disllike England. The media, the fans, the players...just a bunch of assholes. Absolutely no respect for anyone. If the U.S. somehow becomes a world power in football, they're going to hate our guts with a passion. I'm seeing some of that already.

Germany: Looked great going forward, not so much at the back. I stand by my prediction of their being ousted before July 1.

Costa Rica: See above. Would've been nice to see what 'Chope could've done with an actual strike partner ... Gomez was invisible all game.

Ecuador: 1000% better than I thought they'd look. They beat Team Tico and make the next round if they keep playing like that.

Polska: Did anyone else see a yellowish liquid running down the legs of some Polish players?

The only reason Tunisia might get through is because the rest of their group is made up of Underachievers Anonymous, a one-man band and Saudi Arabia.

    Bump.

    Ing-er-land on the board early.
    Paraguay GK replaced early.

  5. Soca Warriors are looking good, scoreless at the half.

JP Dellacamara should be the lead announcer for ABC

Did that really merit a red card on T&T? I don't think so.

    Playing that well, too.

As the PBP announcer just noted, sometimes sides play better with 10 men.

We are clear that it was his second yellow, no?

Sorry, I just began watching the game. Didn't realize that.

Until the ejection, Sweden-TnT had the feel of one of those games where the favorite has about a 20-5 advantage in shots and loses 1-0 on some 40-yard floater that the keeper loses in the sun.
