Marcelo is CONVINCED he was offsides. Pretty close call, but it looked to me like he was off. Either way, helluva way to kick off the tourney.

15 mins to go in the opener. Still 3-2.

A bit off topic, but have any of you seen the play of France's Frank Ribery? I'm not a big soccer fan, but watched a few of Frances games over the last 2 weeks, and christ he's an exciting player to watch.

In Spanish Costa Rica is written "Josta Rica"

Why is it in soccer teams don't quit? Instead they get "dispirited". Makes it sound like Germany hurt their feelings.

If the Seahawks' secondary got tired and was torched by the Steelers, nobody would write they were "dispirited".

Wait until the postgame quotes come out. The word LUCK is uttered more than any other.

The Tico's uniform is done by Joma. Joma's logo is the J. Had the uniforms been done by Nike, there would be a swoosh. Had they been done by Adidas, there would be the three stripes.

Looks like Frings watched the FA Cup. Nice strike.

Fine, they might "quit". Lighten up, Francis.
