Because those NFL hits look a bit scarier than they used to?

Petros was on with Jonas Knox, Quinn and Arrington this week talking about all the players staying in school and how many have been around for 5, 6 and 7 years due to COVID and the transferring etc. And they pointed out it has to be tougher for a kid coming out of high school to get a scholarship these days, and they likely have to take one from a level down to see the field, play well enough to transfer to a P5 or G5 school from FCS. No point in being a back-up for two or three years. And needless to say, most of these players in P5 are making more money in college with NIL than they would at an average straight out of school job. And the spring leagues don't pay as well.

His OC just left for Arkansas. Wonder if he gets an itch to wander during the May portal window.

Rumor has it that KJ Jefferson will follow Kendal Briles to TCU, so it's within the realm of possibility.

Is this just the insomnia talking or are these guys facing no-shit prison time?

Is a "Pac 12 distribution partner" a Pac 12 school?

I took it to mean a TV network.

I don't know what surprises me more - that the Pac-12 actually discovered this, and made it public - or the distribution partner didn't discover it. Who OVERPAYS for the Pac-12?

The only networks that pay are ESPN and Fox, right?

Could be a large cable system. Comcast has Pac-12 channel here in New England, which increases the carriage fee if not the ratings.

Jon Wilner's story implied the distribution partner discovered it.
