Might as well start this with Serena down in the third set in the third round of the Aussie Open

To someone who, I think they said, won one game against her in their last match

And she'll still get a free pass from her adoring Disney-owned media.

I watched the second set and the beginning of the 3rd. Serena looked terrible, like it was an effort each point. Understanding that she never looks like she is in great shape, she was really lumbering yesterday.

Kim Clijsters had to postpone her comeback until after the Australian Open.

Would be a hoot to see Clijsters, who won a Grand Slam as a mom more than a decade ago --- beating Serena in the "shove this fucking ball down your fucking throat" semifinal in the process --- win ANOTHER one before Serena is able to.

Meanwhile, lost amid all the SERENA headlines . . . Caroline Wozniacki played her last professional match, losing to Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, er, Ons Jabeur.

As the first woman to have a child and then go to work following a 12 month maternity leave and 24/7 staff of nanny’s, au pairs, nurses, cook, maids and drivers, she is to be idolized for her great sacrifice to travel the world and be paid million of dollars to merely show up and play a game.
She was rewarded with a very rich, very white husband and no backlash from the AfricanAmerican community for failing to find a fine brother to marry.

Some women look to marry men who remind them of their fathers and some women look for men who are the opposite of what their fathers were. Often an unconscious decision. THe heart knows wants what the heart wants.

Both Serena and Venus ran as far away from their beast of a father as possible. A rebuke of Richard Williams as deep and heartfelt as any

Roger pulled a win out of his ass this morning. He was down 8-4 to John Millman (who beat him in the U.S. Open in 2018) in the 10-point fifth set tiebreak, then reeled off six consecutive points to win the match.
