Tour Championship ends Aug. 30 so head up the road and do it Labor Day weekend? Because after that CBS has the NFL. I'm sure the azaleas and dogwoods will be popping in the Georgia heat and humidity that first weekend of September.

Labor Day weekend would be fine. The plants will be green if not flowering. That's enough.

Labor day is surprisingly open on the sports calendar

The only logical spot for it unless a tournament wants to step aside. Once you get past Labor Day, you're deep into football season then it becomes a broadcasting logistical nightmare.

Also, a tournament in early September is going to be A LOT different than a tournament in early to mid-April.

Used to be the start of the NFL season, but ratings and attendance were relatively weak. People like to be outside on the last holiday of summer.

Would be a fun question at the 19th hole ... you've never been to the Masters and it's your dream to go, would you pay $500 right now for a week-long badge that would be valid only in 2020? Every Masters fan knows that's a steal of a price, but they gotta reschedule. I don't think they will but one never knows with the greencoats.
