ATM having a hoops budget of nearly $9,000,000 is truly amazing. And that's before they hired Buzz Williams.

Even more amazing: Clemson beat UNC and Duke in consecutive games to get its record to 9-7.
The Tigers did this two-step once before, 1990. Difference is that they were actually good that year.
Brad Brownell may have secured a stay of execution for another year or two.

    Sun rises in the east.

Colorado loses at Tucson, now going on 55 years.

... then loses at Raleigh. To N.C. State.

Simms looked kinda human and Clemson couldn't sink free throws.

Tigers had no problem with NCSU at Littlejohn. Then beat Chapel Hill there (finally) and Duke at home. Then lose to NCSU.

Go figure. Pretty much describes every ACC program like now except for Louisville and Florida State. Even Duke is on a modest two-game slide.

Pretty cool seeing Klay Thompson get his jersey retired at Wazzu. He didn't just show up, he was hyping the crowd and the team throughout the game, signed countless autographs before, during and after, and hung out with the team afterwards - says a lot about the Warriors team ethic that Curry and Zazu and some Warriors brass came along - it wasn't like it was a brief trip while the team was in town for a roadie.

Nos. 3, 4, 5 and 12 all lost today. Nos. 2, 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10 all got pushed hard before pulling out wins, and a couple of those lost earlier in the week.
This continues to be one of the screwiest regular seasons in recent memory. Which is going to make all the more sad when the Final Four is Duke, Michigan State, Kansas and Villanova.

What a world we live in where the top three teams in the poll next week are Gonzaga, Baylor and San Diego State and Dayton is pushing to be in the top five
