Last five in the lineup are Ellsbury, Castro, Headley, Judge, Torreyes.

Ellsbury has hit around .260 the last three years. Castro has a career .318 OBP, which he hasn't reached in three of the last four seasons. Headley has a .380 SLG in two seasons with the Yankees. Judge and Torreyes are rookies.

Plus Gardner has settled into a .260 guy with no power or speed.

Well considering what Ellsbury and Headley are contract-wise, there's not much they can do there.

I don't think Gardner falls in that category. Bird and Judge maybe -- but you have to at least give your prospects a chance. With all the young talent in the pipeline you have to see what you have at some point.

Gardner, no speed? Doesn't steal as much, but still is fast. Covers a lot of ground in the outfield.

That building dulls the senses and drains the life out of everyone. I say that affectionately as someone who very occasionally went to the Trop during the "Heart & Hustle" dark ages.

Who was on the outside of the stadium, 03 or 04 season, the big painting? Was it Randy Winn. remember seeing it and thinking, they put that guy's pic up?

Archer's outstanding start is most likely over with 7 strong, 7 hits, 5 Ks, 2 ER -- ending by getting Sanchez with the bases loaded.

Nothing says Opening Day like indoor baseball in Florida.

Compare and contrast with an open roof in Arizona.

Imagine dreaming your entire childhood of being a professional baseball player, beating all the odds to make it to the show, finally putting on that uniform for the first time ... and because you're a Diamondback it looks like you're in a beer league with your coworkers at Spacely's Sprockets.

My avatar, through 4 1/2 innings, has one more home run than baserunners allowed.

It's better than trying to play in Yankee Stadium two days after it snowed up there.
