Promotes is probably a better word than demands.

 

No moreso than the school newspaper. I can only speak to my experience. It's just a bunch of guys hanging out.

It wasn't like that at all. Check that. We did wear the same collared shirts when three of us worked at Blockbuster Video.

Most “groupthink” environment I ever experienced was my corporate law firm.

 

They'll "investigate" but they won't -- they can't and even if they could they shouldn't -- fire her. Remember, though, that this is California, where "the process is the punishment" is written into the state constitution.

One shouldn't need training to know that music played in a place of business should be appropriate.
But that doesn't change whether Duke administrators were jerks and over-reacted.

 

A coffee shop on a college campus is probably an appropriate place to play that song. But it’s clear Duke is NOT WokeAF

 

“If you don’t like the way I’m dressed for my thesis presentation, I’ll just do it in my underwear.”

The class is “Acting in Public: Performance in Everyday Life,” so I guess that it might be appropriate.
