John Stevens isn't leaving Los Angeles. The Kings have promoted Stevens to associate head coach.

Dan Bylsma reportedly interviewed with Vancouver and is a finalist for the Florida gig.

    No surprise regarding Richards.

I'm starting to think Bylsma may take a season off and collect his Penguins money. Vancouver's going down before it comes back up, IMHO. Florida? The goaltending is stable now and we keep hearing how many talented, youngsters Tallon has obtained but the franchise just seems like it's stuck in perpetual mediocrity. Having stated that, the Panthers, as a franchise, seem to have stability it has often lacked.

Used to be head coach in Columbus, IIRC. Boy, Florida goes through a lot of different coaches. Maybe he'll last longer than some of the others.

Vancouver Canucks name Willie Desjardins head coach. Desjardins coached the AHL Texas Stars to the Calder Cup championship this season.

Cannot blame him for passing on Pittsburgh for the Canucks' job. Four-year offer versus two. What are the Pens going to do? Bring back Kevin Constantine? ;D

Correct. Dating myself but I remember Gallant from his playing days in Detroit and listening to the games on WJR.
