They can't hype them til they get traded to the Yankees.

    It's a rule.

What kind of "coverage" are you referring to? Harper was on the COVER of Sports Illustrated at age 15. ;D

Mike Trout was on the cover of Sports Illustrated and ESPN The Magazine a few months ago.

Apparently, the Marlins are shipping their entire roster to Toronto. For what? I have no idea.

Jeremy Affeldt is staying with the Giants, reportedly for three years, $18 million. Now they just need to retain Scutaro and Pagan.

I don't think Pagan is coming back. If Detroit is really interested, no way are the Giants going to match that offer. Plus they have Gary Brown waiting in the wings, and although I have my doubts about him, they aren't going to extend themselves for many years at that position and create a logjam.

Co-worker said that someone Tweeted that the Marlins are clearing salary space for A-Rod.
Only problem with that is the Marlins don't have anyone left to give the Yankees and they would still lack the means to eat most of (or even half of) A-Rod's contract.

And here's what Giancarlo Stanton just tweeted:

This proposed Marlins deal confirms all the worst fears of MLB about the Miami strategy, and it effectively crushes the MIA market for MLB.

And yet Jeffrey Loria continues to be allowed to own a team. Utter horseshit.

(Although truth be told, as a Braves fan and long-time Marlins hater, this doesn't really break my heart).

Things in the AL East just got a whole lot more interesting.

    Holy hell.
