Maybe he can convince his dad to join his staff next season...

Pretty crazy huh? Think Neuheisel gets the pink slip after Chip Kelly takes him behind the woodshed this Friday? Call me crazy, but the fire needs to be turned up on Tedford's seat.

...and a number of comments from current and former players in the wake of the disastrous loss to Kentucky did him no favors, nor did his comment that the program hit rock bottom and he'd now rebuild it.

Um, Dooley, you are entering your third year.

His buyout is $5 million, so he's most likely safe for another year. But there are two wild cards: (1) Dave Hart is not the AD who hired him and (2) lose 20,000 season tickets and another 20,000 in single game sales, which is a realistic expectation for next season, and a $5 million buyout becomes chump change.

Flying - a guy comes in after a school just fired an alumn who had sime success and he was presumably hired to put his own stamp on the program and change the culture and in order to do that he is gonna step on toes. Giving up now would be silly

A $5 million buyout is chump change for a most SEC schools.

Any chance Phat Phil pulls an Uncle Bill Snyder, and returns back to Rocky Top?

Kids will never play for him. Like His idol Coughlin, Edsall better off in NFL. All that a Western PA BS isn't going to play well with inner city kids from Baltimore and DC.

If kids won't play for him why did he have success at Conn

I would doubt it. Even though Fulmer won a title at UT, I think it's safe to say people there were ready for him to go. Tennessee, unlike K-state, also can afford to bring in a big-name coach if it so desires. The Vols have been down for a few years, but its still a destination job if they bring in the right person.
