    Some writer was on Cowherd's show saying something similar and this guy was convinced Johnson knew he'd probably screwed up. He then said Johnson was basically trying to get away with something, since he apparently wasn't going to bring up the possible violation himself. It was a different way of looking at the Johnson-handled-it-with-so-much-class angle.

    We can't know what Johnson thought, so why bother speculating. Upon further video review, I conclude he DEFINITELY should have asked the rules official whether he was in a bunker, and that the official should have intervened before he addressed the ball. It's marginal, but it looks more like a bunker than not.
