Let's see if I get this straight (the math I mean) -- UConn has won four NCAA Tournament games by an average of 47 points?

    I guess that means tonight's game, a 40-point win, was a squeaker...... ::)

I guess a 45-point win was too close, even for Geno's standards.

"We won by 40. Big fuckin' deal. We're running suicides for the next three hours. I WILL NOT ACCEPT 40-POINT WINS!"

I'm sure that will make Sue Semrau and the Seminoles sleep better.

    UConn's not bracing for Griner?
They better get ready for Melissa Jones (or so says BU coach)

“Melissa Jones needs to be a household name in women's basketball because she's one of the finest players that people don't talk about. When you do a scouting report on us, one of the first players you better talk about is Melissa Jones because she can play any position on the floor. She is our captain, and everything we do is going to go through Melissa.”

Jones is a great glue player, and a rallying force with her teammates. But with all due respect, Geno needs to game-plan Brittney Griner and if that means Jones breaks loose a bit, so be it.

ESPN's doing the opener for the semis tonight.
    Oklahoma trails Stanford 28-15 early.
Hakeem's daughter's team's being kept under wraps so far.

32-17 now. And the court looks hideous. No contrast in the color scheme, and the curly cues in the corners don't fit.

Lead down to 10, but Ogwumike for Stanford does not seem stoppable.

Give OU credit for not quitting, but this one belongs to the Cardinal.

Cardinal up by four, with 1 and change left
    Close ending.

EDIT: 69-66 Stanford with :16 left
Hakeem in the house; has anyone seen Big Ben?

    Stanford survives 73-66. 38 & 16 for Ogwumike.

Stanford missed a ton of layups and chippies. They'll obviously need to be a lot better on Tuesday.

The local media here in San Antonio showed some practice footage yesterday and Britt. Griner was dunking all over the place. If she gets some breakaways tonight (and I know, the ball is smaller than men's hoops) it's going to be fun to watch.
