I couldn't find an exact payout structure, but I did find this: Those who make the final table will at least win $1,566,828. The top three finishers get $12 million, $6,102,499 and $4,123,310.

What's the proper dealer tip on $12 million? Coupla black chips? :)

If I'm one of the short stacks, might be time to climb into the shell. Each extra spot looks like it will be worth at least $250k.

Wasn't Hachem the short stack entering the final table last year? It seems like he and Dannenmann just kind of laid low and let other guys grenade themselves and before you know it they're heads up.

Here's the chip count entering last year's final table, led by donkey boy Kanter who had just donked Raymer in a huge way:

    1. Aaron Kanter: $10,700,000
    2. Tex Barch: $9,330,000
    3. Andrew Black: $8,140,000
    4. Mike Matusow: $7,410,000
    5. Steve Dannenmann: $5,460,000
    6. Joseph Hachem: $5,420,000
    7. Daniel Bergsdorf: $5,270,000
    8. Scott Lazar: $3,370,000
    9. Brad Kondracki: $1,180,000

Here's the payout structure for this year, noting that Dan Harrington was the first million-dollar winner of the event and the guy who finished 12th in this one won a mill:

    1$12,000,000

    2$6,102,499

    3$4,123,310

    4$3,628,513

    5$3,216,182

    6$2,803,851

    7$2,391,520

    8$1,979,189

    9$1,566,858

    10 - 12$1,154,527

You're obviously supposed to give the dealer a tip. But did the Miami Heat tip the refs after winning the NBA Finals last June?

    I'm just saying ...

Everybody in Vegas expects a tip.

But like everywhere else, not everybody DESERVES a tip.

I'm just happy that poker has allowed us a way to conjugate a noun, donkey. And it's great, because "donking" somebody can be used in sooooo many wonderful ways. Thanks, poker!!!

Okay, I know he's in advertising, but I'm rooting for Dan Nassif for no other reason than he's a newspaper guy.

At least you didn't waste too much time rooting. He busted out on the fifth hand of the day with a hand that's been talked about on the other thread.

AK vs. 22, moved all-in post flop with a board of 5,3,2. Got an A on the turn, no help on the river.
