Rules Reminder: Please read

It's time for some basic rules reminders. We're ready to start removing people who are continual problems, so please pay attention.

1. IGNORE PEOPLE YOU DON’T CARE FOR. No matter how offensive you find someone, or whatever your disagreement, personal attacks or insults are going to result in suspensions and bans. Don't post things about people on threads they aren't participating on to try to bait them. It doesn't matter who the other person is or how justified you think you are in taking shots or in trailing them around the board.
2. NO DEATH THREATS, WISHING RAPE ON PEOPLE, WISHING [INSERT WHATEVER VULGAR THING YOU THINK IS FUNNY] on people. Even when you think it’s just a joke or when it’s directed at a politician or a public figure. It’s not funny, especially in the current environment, it’s psychotic. It’s going to result in suspensions and automatic bans from now on.
3. NO VULGAR SEXUAL POSTS. Please think before you post. One warning and suspension, and then a ban from now on.
4. NO OUTING. In any form. This includes referring to members by names they’ve used previously. People have their own reasons for wanting anonymity. Please respect it.
5. Keep politics to the POLITICS THREAD. We realize that some news events don’t have clear lines and there will sometimes be overlap on other threads, but if you are constantly bringing politics onto other threads (for example, sports threads), you are going to be asked to stop once and then removed from the board.
6. NO MODERATION REFERENDUMS. If you don’t like the basic rules or you’ve decided that another user deserves to be removed, don’t post how much the moderators suck. Report posts, then please respect whatever we do or don’t do. If you think another user deserves to be banned, don’t create a campaign on the board. It's going to result in you being removed.
