They're better than you think. (And yes, that's NOT blue font.)
Having said that, though... even getting up to 75-80 wins guarantees what, third or fourth in that division?
And why would the Brewers want to move? You've got the Chicago rivalry, etc. That's nuts.

From the Brewers perspective, you have a Chicago rivalry either way. To put it mildly, the White Sox were not well-liked by Brewers fans and vice versa.

I miss Brewers-Sox games. The Sox are so easy to hate.

Doc Gooden wasn't part of the Turn Back the Clock set.
Turn Back the Clock was part of the 1976 Topps set and included "Sporting News" style cards of Lou Gehrig, Babe Ruth, Cy Young, Honus Wagner and some of the other greats of the past. I've still got them.

I believe he's referring to the 1987 Topps set, which was done with an old-fashioned wood-grain bordering around the edge.

I'm not talking about the set. I don't remember the year of the card, but it was a '80s card with Gooden in his '86 gear with the words "Turn Back The Clock" written on the front.

    It's a 1989 Topps card with a 1984 picture.

I see nothing dorky about that, QB.

Sorry, but the Royals are nothing like the Pirates, who have no hope and don't even try anymore. The Royals signed Gil Meche to a $55 million last year and Jose Guillen to a $36 million contract this offseason. They're nothing like the Pirates, Marlins or teams like that. They're trying.

Put the Royals in the NL Central and they would instantly become serious contenders to win the division. And yes, I'm serious.
