FYI Scheider recently sold his Hamptons home to Billy Joel for $19 million.

And that cancer center in Arkansas has done some great work treating multpile myeloma.

Don't forget "The French Connection" and "All that Jazz".

All That Jazz was incredible. Scheider's death makes me think of the scene where he goes to heaven at the end of the movie to the song "Bye, Bye Life". One of my all-time favorite musical scenes.

    "Bye, Bye, Love" . . . but that's OK.

For Fosse fans, the thing was the ne plus ultra.

You are right - "Bye, Bye, Love"...now it's stuck in my head. Who was the R&B singer who was in that scene with Scheider?

  10. I would like to commend Ben for, as far as I can determine, the very first use of the phrase "ne plus ultra" in the history of SportsJournalists.com.
Your thesaurus is gonna need a bigger boat.
