Ever since Roy gave a scale-of-one-to-ten "six" verbal committment to enroll at Mississippi State, then matriculated instead to the pros, he's been a collision course with the Hall.
He's morphed his game at times and been able to play different roles with pitching staffs and his resume speaks for itself, he's a sure bet to make it to Cooperstown.

I wouldn't totally say he has no chance, but I think it's a stretch. He's got 46.3 WAR, which is not good enough for a guy without any rings or awards (and shouldn't be good enough even for those with rings and awards). He had a better season than many realize last year, but he's on the downside of his career.

I knew somebody would go to WAR on this.

Aw, you buggered out and went blue font. I won't. I will never, ever use WAR to consider a Hall of Fame candidate. Stats are only a part of the consideration.

I'm more interested in whether a guy was friends with his teammates.

Careful, dools, you don't want to make Dick say something he'll remove later.
