Rough Stretch for Diplomats (RIP Lawrence Eagleburger)

    Richard Holbrooke died in Dec. 2010.

    Warren Christopher passed in March of this year.

    And now Lawrence Eagleburger has died.

    Once met Eagleburger at a national security conference at VMI. He was a last-minute replacement for Condoleeza Rice, but was fabulous. Great sense of humor and really didn't hold anything back.

    Eagleburger was a rare breed. A diplomat who spoke his mind.
