Same here, but I also don't see the harm in recognizing we're all thinking about him as the anniversary approaches.

Hey Ron the Mets are gonna lose 121 games this year! #DICKHEAD

I wasn't saying anything bad. Was just saying I was trying to compartmentalize as best I could.

I still feel bad about it. I guess I just don't want to spend a week feeling bad about it. But that's the thing about threads; this is going to pop up with every new reply every time I hit "new replies."

Much better to start the conversation again today than on a Monday, just from a psychological perspective.

I'm just going to celebrate Ron and the life he lived. I remember him every time I read about the Mets, every time Vin Mazzaro pitches, every time I drive through New Jersey. We lost a great friend, and we can and should toast him.

Still stinks, though. Wish he was here.

Sad anniversary. Spnited died between the time my mother (January) and my father (March) died, so it feels blurred to me. It seems like more than a year to me.

I just told BYH in an IM ... I'll bet Ron just bought Gary Carter a beer.

Do they drink beer in heaven? They'd have to, right? Otherwise, what kind of heaven would that be?

Ron got the scoop and had a tall, cold one ready for Gary when he walked in

The Iowa band disagrees about the availability of suds in the afterlife.

So does the Wisconsin band. And yet, as band geeks, they'll never be headed in that direction.

And that would be the greatest tragedy of all, wicked.
