Ridiculous. Guys like Artest think that its easy. Did he see forgot the Eagles' kick returner get lit up on Sunday night (guy had a neck injury at end of '09 as well)? Does he want to go through that or just keep making $9M banging in the NBA?

Richard Seymour could mentor him, too.

So he wants to run routes and catch passes ... not get hit and block, I'm assuming.

Go re-apply at Circuit City, Ron.

A 6-9 TE with no experience? He'd get broken in half. NFL defenders would be salivating at the idea.

At his age it is. Artest has an ideal tight end (or defensive end) body and might've made a damn good one if he'd gone that way when he was younger. But the idea of him starting something like this in his 30s is absurd.
