Roger Clemens still sticking to his bullshit story

    No, I mean Clemens has made the claim he was clean. He wasn't. Zero chance

    Public perception. Big Papi is seen as a good, lovable guy. Clemens is the asshole who threw a broken bat in the general direction of Mike Piazza. Not necessarily fair, but it's definitely a thing. Big Papi will almost certainly sail into Cooperstown though he was listed as failing a drug test, while A-Rod will almost certainly have to wait.

    the entire construct of the Hall of Fame is pretty stupid, starting with the name. it's a just a big PR stunt.

    That may be true, but then shouldn't we blame the whole Major League Baseball system? And if the whole Major League Baseball system is guilty, then isn't this an indictment of our entire American society? Well, you can do what you you want to the Hall of Fame, mister, but we're not going to sit here and listen to you badmouth the United States of America.
