Roethlisberger settles Lake Tahoe Rape suit

    There are reasons why settlements happen, even if a rape took place. Do some research for a change.

    Some how, my mind read this topic name as "Lake Tahoe Rape Suite"

    I had to ponder...they actually ADVERTISE those?

    Well, it was easy for Roethlisberger to be in court because he was only 15 minutes away.

    (C'mon, somebody had to say it.)

The legal experts on the board may want correct me, but my understanding is that had this case gone forward, the plaintiff's lawyer could have deposed the woman who accused Roethlisberger of rape in Georgia. Despite the confidential settlement reached in THAT case, the Georgia accuser would have to answer any/all questions regarding the incident between she and Roethlisberger.

    I think that fear of having that entire story - in blunt and graphic detail - is what led Roethlisberg to settle this case.
