So the local cineplex is doing a showing of Rocky Horror Picture Show.
I have seen the nonsense before, but I figure it would be a fun little outing.
So I gather with some friends and we go to the 11:30 p.m. show.
    I'm sober.
    That was a huge mistake.
If you are in an altered state, Rocky Horror seems like the best movie ever.
    Sober. It sucks.
The first 30 minutes and everyone is throwing rice and dancing around.
Then the next hour kicks and I get really, really sleepy.

So you're not interested in him making you a man in 7 days?

Yeah, I've only seen it once, and I was sober. I couldn't imagine why anyone would pay money to see that movie.

I love that movie, drunk or sober. I hate that I always work Halloween night and can't go catch in theaters.

I love campy movies and musicals, and it's the best of both.

You either need to be about 15 years old, or college age and really drunk.

    Otherwise it's excruciating.

It's a great piece of work, drunk, stoned or sober.

It's a lot of fun when you dress up and participate.

How does one participate in a movie?

Cadet will probably explain it concisely.

All I can say is to go to a midnight showing some time, Moddy. It'll blow you away.

Moddy would be great as the professor.

Actually saw it on TV a couple nights ago, very strange to see it that way.

Moddy--the whole audience dresses as the characters (ie, in drag) and brings props that go with the dialogue. When it rains, you take out a newspaper to put over your head. When someone makes a toast, you throw toast. When it's time to do the Time Warp, you get up and dance. You also have to know all the dialogue so you can holler--in unison--at the screen.

I've only gone sober, which makes it more fun to watch the crazies.

Probably a great idea for an SJ outing.
