I love the Beastie Boys, but if they were to make the list at No. 31, it shouldn't have been with "Licensed To Ill." While that put them on the map, any of their next four CDs (especially "Paul's Boutique") were more deserving.

Not to mention that they don't make "Albums" any longer.

I agree with some of the complaints here. For example, Shania Twain #21.

Can't believe she wasn't in the top 10.

Sorry, it really is Lavigne". Father is French, mother is Franco-Ontarian.

She still doesn't belong on that list. And Celine? Well, we don't need to go there.

    A. F'ing. Men.

Can I get a Roxy Music album on here if in place of a Celine Dion or Shania Twain?

No love for Iron Maiden but for some reason I'm saddled with Blizzard of Ozz?

Any list is going to be controversial, this one is just half dreck. Kind of like Use Your Illusion I and II. One good album made into two.

This was one good top 100 stretched out to 200.

    This makes me laugh ...

    KENNY G – BREATHLESS
    ahead of:
    NWA. – STRAIGHT OUTTA COMPTON
SEX PISTOLS – NEVER MIND THE BOLLOCKS

  7. Well, the album does suck definitively.

I hate to play the rock snob role when it comes to lists like this ... but give me a break. I get that they were trying to include some of the more modern pop acts instead of just making it a rundown of '60s and '70s classic rock that you often see, but jeez, there are 10 bands playing in clubs in Chicago on any given weekend that would put Celine Dion to shame.

  9. Well, I will play the rock snob and say that there are at least 25 acts out of the 200 that blow dinosaur-sized goats.
    Starting with The Doors, Boom.

Totally agree on The Doors. A $10 Toys 'R' Us organ and 10th-grade poetry do not a great rock act make.

Good to know that Shakira has a more significant album than anything Steely Dan has done. You bet.

Oh, come on. That's a ridiculous statement.

Everyone know Toys "R' Us wasn't around back then.

i actually like the Doors, but that line, Pringle, is top notch.
