    No comment from Joe Wilson and Valerie Plame.

    If you have nothing better to do than take political shots at someone on an RIP or illness thread, you're just a bad person.

    Hey, as far as I know, Mr. Hecht is healthy.

    You're just mad because the Sox are back in first.

    Heaven needs a conservative hatchet man.

  6. Unfortunately, i don't think he's that far from wrong.

    Yes. I'm sure the lack of compassion from the Left -- as evidenced by one mild comment -- has you all aflutter. Perhaps you should lie down for a bit.

    Where did we put that fainting couch?

    The last time I checked, Hecht didn't speak for half of the country. But I understand your point. It's noted. It's hard to justify a laugh when it regards a guy who is apparently living out his last days.

    I'm pretty sure ANY brain tumor is "dire."

    Kinda like this song from the Man in Black:

    Bet it ain't rainin' back home,
    Bet your sister's still on the phone.
    Bet Momma's in the kitchen, cooking fried chicken,
    Wishing that I hadn't done wrong.

    Yeah, Momma, don't you worry about it none though,
    Everything's gonna be all right, Momma.
    They're teaching us a lot of new things in here, Momma;
    Things like:

    There ain't no good in an evil-hearted woman.
    And I ain't cut out to be no Jesse James.
    And you don't go writin' hot checks, down in Mississippi.
    And there ain't no good chain gang.

    Papa's readin' yesterday's mail,
    Wishin' that the hay was all baled.
    I bet he's a-wishin', we could go fishin'.
    And here I am a-laying in jail.

    Well, Papa, don't you worry about it none now,
    Everything's gonna be all right, Papa;
    They're teaching us a lesson a day; we're learning pretty well, too.
    We've already learned a whole lot of stuff already;
    Things like:

    There ain't no good in an evil-hearted woman.
    And I ain't cut out to be no Jesse James.
    And you don't go writin' hot checks, down in Mississippi.
    And there ain't no good chain gang.

    And there ain't no good chain gang.

    (To fade)

    Understanding the title of the thread when clicking on I just cant' fathom the mind set that comes to this here to post something other than a wish for Mr Novak's a speedy recovery.
