    @SoCal: I drove 6 hours to participate in the media days for the football conference I cover. The hotel has a casino in it. I played Roulette and the slots. It's a trip with a purpose for work, just not gambling.

    Ah. Music snobs. Maybe I should put that on the Things I dislike thread.

    Six consecutive outs? You mean sevens? Outside the first one, which would clear the board and maybe suck very badly depending on your action, the next five sevens would be come-out winners. Perfectly good thing.

    Or do you mean "crap rolls" of 2-3-12? One of my buddies would be in heaven, always betting that junk.

    Not essentially...there are two green spaces - 0 and 00 - which skew the odds a little. But because it's essentially 50-50 makes it fun enough to keep going to see how long the streak can go. That's actually what derailed me that time.

    @playthrough: Yeah, he rolled a seven and then laid the egg with 2,3, and 12. Some guy put money down on those and made out like a bandit.

    @SportsJournalists.com: Larry Coker has a very-firm handshake.

    Gotcha. Always good to be able to mix business with pleasure.

    @socal: I'm not a gambler (well, only with my life while posting and driving) so it really wasn't "pleasure" for me. But, it was nice to get to a resort-style hotel for work.

    @SportsJournalists.com: iPod died, so I'm listening to the radio. That "Love Game/Disco Stick" song just came on. I may just drive this Kia into a bridge support. Awful song!

    Fourth question: What device makes your life easier behind the wheel? For me, it's a GPS. I'd be lost without it (pun intended).

    If disliking shitty music makes me a snob, so be it. :D

    Just a radio, to be honest. I don't have much taste in music, so I can usually find something to listen to.

    I have an iPod, and a hook-up for the car, but I still don't use either of them.
