Rivera / Giradi Taco Bell Commercial

If this happens and I'm not made a moderator for the Taco Bell thread I will boycott SportsJournalists.com. That includes me no longer purchasing SportsJournalists.com thongs for all my friends around christmas time.

 

Girardi did another national commerical with Posada.
I think it was DirecTV, and it ran nonstop for quite a while.

 

Man, did I laugh at that. Just saying that word in my head with the inflection of a question kills me.

Do you know a little Mexican?

 

My wife thought that the whole thing was "culturally insensitive," bringing in the Latino to finish off the Mexican food.

In other words, she didn't get it.

After I tried to explain it to her, she said, "Well, that's just stupid."

 

I laughed ... a little.

 

I'm in the minority. I liked the commercial. It's not often you get guys like Rivera, Girardi, or even Tom Brady and Tim Duncan to do commercials, local or national.

 

I think Girardi trying to slap that dude on the ass was far more disturbing than the idea of Mo eating a half eaten taco.

 

Better than slapping the taco on the ass

 

I'm suddenly reminded of an episode of "Cheers" where Sam is called in for Luis Tiant to finish a commercial.

 

I could sure go for some black taco.

Or some cheese crackers.

 

Especially the look on Girardi's face when he was doing it.
