    If it's like a lot of Third World countries I've been to, traffic enforcement is virtually non-existent and the roads are not well-kept.

    But it's also possible he was drunk.

    The other photo is from the front of the jeep and includes a body partially in frame on the ground. No gore, but some trauma evident.

    Man, first Jose Fernandez, and now Ventura. Damn shame. RIP.

    Ventura's immaturity has been well-documented on this board, but I'd like to think that as he got a little older and gained some maturity, that he would have fulfilled his potential more. Now we'll never know.

    On a much less important note, my hometown boy, Danny Duffy, who just signed the five-year extension with the Royals, has just had some more responsibility slung on his shoulders.

    From what I read somewhere, the traffic laws aren't very stringently enforced. That's an easy way to turn people into bad drivers.

    Funny how in death this guy has been elevated a bit. Six months ago he was a raging asshole to anyone not a Royals fan.
