That's who I was thinking about. I thought to myself there was no way this lady gave me a half a stock. It was Elvira, not Vampira.

    Oh, well. Safe journey, Vampira.

I always wonder if that was Katey Segal's mom playing the female lead.

This thread makes me want to see the terribly underrated "Ed Wood" again. For all the the Jack Sparrows and Willy Wonkas he's portrayed, I think it's Depp's best role ever.

Even better than "21 Jump Street."

    Hey
Black dress moves in a blue movie
    Graverobbers from outer space
Well, your pulmonary trembles in your outstretched arm
    Tremble so wicked
    Two inch nails
    Micro waist
With a pale white feline face
    Inclination eyebrows to there
    Mistress to the horror kid
Cemetary of the white love ghoul, well
    Take off your shabby dress
    Come and lay beside me
    Come a little bit closer
    Come a little bit closer
    Come a little bit closer
Come a little bit closer to this
    Vampira, vampira, vampira
Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey

    Vampira by the Misfits

Not to threadjack, but the fact that this movie went largely under the radar despite winning 2 Oscars and the fact it had Johnny Depp, Sarah Jessica Parker, Bill Murray, Martin Landau, and was directed by Tim Burton has to be one of the biggest movie mysteries out there.

Ask most people if they've seen Ed Wood and you get blank stares and lots of "Ed who?"
According to Wikipedia it grossed just $71,566 in its opening weekend.

More people appreciated Brad Renfro than Ed Wood, it seems.

I heard he was good in the Client, but still.
