Beats the hell out of Bammer's aging elephant.

Now if Bama had an actual elephant trot out onto the field, that might change things.

I don't know why, but everytime I ponder the reverance given to Uga, I think of Uga licking himself, turning his head cockeyed when he hears a weird sound, growling at you if you get near his Alpo, you know, the kind of shit every other dog does.

It just strikes me as funny that a dog is put on such a high pedestal because he wears a red Georgia sweater. Nothing wrong with it, mind you, it's just funny to me.

If the president of the University of Georgia were to die tomorrow, would it be as big a story as Uga dying?

And for the record, I like dogs and once I have a yard I plan on getting one. But geez.

Mississippi State has a bulldog, too. Bully, another clever name.

He's not just a dog, Headbutt, he's an icon... and an SEC Icon at that.

No wonder we kicked their ass in the 1860s.

Considering the hatred that Georgia fans/alumni/students have for Pres. Michael Adams since the whole Dooley debacle, it would be more of a celebration than a mourning if he died.

And I sincerely doubt he would be buried in Sanford Stadium like the other five Ugas.

In other words, Uga is bigger than the Prez. Hell, only Vince Dooley, Herschel and Larry Munson are bigger than Uga.

I won't comment on how sick that is.

What are they gonna do with the dog corpses when Sanford Stadium is torn down?
