At least he wasn't gored by a feral hog.

Oh man. That's gut punch after gut punch.

As for cause of death, I'd imagine he didn't die of an overdose, but the cumulative effects of many years of the rock and roll lifestyle. It sounds like he did a lot of hard drugs back in the day. As someone else here noted, he was not a guy you thought of as someone who would make it into his 80s or 90s.

My uncle was gored by a feral hog.
Your callous attempt at humor makes me both sad and angry.

That's quite a stretch. But OK.

He really, really liked smoking cigarettes and admitted he was annoyed that he couldn't smoke in public places like bars and restaurants, etc. I have to think if it was simply a heart attack, smoking for 50+ years played a role. I don't think there is any reason to believe he was back using heroin, having been clean for 15 or so years. But who knows.

Begs to differ. (OK, technically not in his 80s. Yet.)

Yeah, I figured that out with your Frodo line on the other thread. Tough puzzle, though. :)

Keith Richard has cockroach genes and is not an acceptable comparison with normal human beings.
