RIP Tim Sassone

    Longtime Chicago Blackhawks writer Tim Sassone from the Arlington Heights Daily Herald died at the age of 58 this week. He'd come back from a stroke a couple of years ago. Started writing in 1988, the same year Jonathan Toews was born.

    Underrated newspaper and great writing. Sad news. :(

    Huge loss for the Daily Herald as Tim was one of their best. He will be missed by Chicago hockey fans.

    note to Moderators: I didn't see this topic on this thread when I created the "RIP - Tim Sassone" topic on the "Journalism topics only" board. Feel free to delete my thread or if possible leave both of them up for those here who only read the "Journalism topics only" board.
