I played (and tried to sing along to) "Goodbye Baby" by Fleetwood Mac.

If wanted to keep from bawling like a child, big mistake. I lost it.

I'm sure James and his grandfather are somewhere bitching about Kobe right now. That thought will help in this difficult time.

I saw his pictures on MySpace, and he had some great ones with some WWE divas.

    Lucky guy.

Hope you've found peace now, friend.

    Oh my goodness.

I didn't know Tripp any better than anyone else on the board, but he was always in good humor and added a lot to anyone who would give him time of day.

RIP Tripp/James. Rest assured you'll be missed. Piotr, thanks for your tribute and the courage it took to write and post what you did.

    RIP James

Way too young for this to happen

Don't know what more to say.

It's not that common to have someone who is so dedicated to the job and maintains a positive attitude. And it's even more rare to be able to keep things in perspective -- knowing family and friends mean everything compared to sports and the job. Piotr, that was a great tribute. Prayers for his family and friends, especially his mom, can't imagine how tough that is.

    This is horrible, horrible news.

I didn't know him other than his SJ persona, but from his posts, stories & the stories being shared today, we've all lost something today.

My sincere condolences to his family & friends. :'(

I am still shocked and saddened. I, too, only new him on the board, but he added a lot.

My thoughts are with his family and friends, especially those here.

Remember that we are a big dysfunctional family here, and we need to look out for each other.

Like most here, I never met Tripp/James.

But in some instances, posts can say a lot about a person. He came across as a smart, friendly, always respectful guy, which Piotr and Claws have shown to be true and then some.

    RIP.

    Terribly saddened at this news.

When I read his original thread on his father/grandfather dying, it reminded me of my own fight many years ago and put a smile on my face when I realized that even though my own father is gone, I can remember him in a positive way.

I have enjoyed spending time on SportsJournalists.com. I'm not on as much as some people, preferring most of the time to be the guy standing next to the large group in the hypothetical SportsJournalists.com bar, enjoying the stories that are told, the jabs that are thrown back and forth and generally having a good time.

I hope that James is now with his father/grandfather, unburdened by the limitations that were place on him on earth and enjoying a good game of catch.

He was GimpyScribe? I remember he and Omar were the high priests of the ROH contingent around here. He knew his wrestling and was an assload of fun to talk to.

I wish I had known him in real life. He sounds like a hell of man.

    Fucking fail. This is awful.
