There are a lot of lessons about love here.

    James, RIP.

This thread deserves to be at the top.

Saw this story from the other day and thought there might be interest. Prayers going out still.

There's a quick 4 minute video of the service now.

James' memorial was on Monday, and it was truly touching to see all our former colleagues come out and pay their respects with some great, great stories.

James' mother has created an online memorial page. If you wish to leave comments, give a flower or light a candle, please visit:

It's been a year since James/Tripp passed away. As a mutual friend e-mailed on his recent birthday, the Angels' recent run at first place and the Lakers' title likely have made James/Tripp smile, wherever he is.

Thought there were some really nice tributes in this thread, the memory of which is one of the major reasons I keep coming back to this site. A lot of really good things said about a really good guy.

    RIP, James.

Well said, Piotr. Nothing else to add (as usual, given the poster in question).

    Carry on ...

Missed it last year, but just read the entire thread tonight.

Beautiful tributes, and I'm richer for reading them. Thank you all.

RIP, James/Tripp. You had a lot of fans down here. Bet you still do, too. ;)
