Headline: "Actor in infamous 'Star Wars' scene has died."

Never heard of the guy before or since, but I knew exactly who it meant.

"I find your lack of faith disturbing."

RIP Richard LeParmentier, and may the force be with you.

No details on the cause of death. Would be rather ironic (or not; I have no clue what the hell irony is anymore) if he choked to death.

Leave Irony Police alone. He's busy fortifying homeland security.

I guess heaven needed someone to go find the ambassador on the consular ship.

Thanks to the story linked on the thread, I realized LeParmentier also played the police lieutenant who had some scenes with Bob Hoskins Eddie Valiant in "Who Framed Roger Rabbit." (his best line was "now that's what I call one seriously disturbed toon.") Loved both movies, but I never made the connection that it was the same actor until now.

I think these RIPs are getting out of hand. What's next? "RIP the bartender who was on-screen for 3 seconds as he poured James Bond a martini in Doctor No"

Who cares? No one is harmed by them.

IMDB says the late choke guy was also in Octopussy. "U.S. Aide." Can't say I remember him, and I've seen that one entirely too many times.
