If you were in middle school or high school in the late '70s, you probably slow-danced to "I Go Crazy," which was on Billboard's Top 100 for a then-record 40 weeks.
Davis also had a couple of other hits: "Sweet Life," "Cool Night" and "'65 Love Affair."
Soft-rock schlock? Maybe. But it brings back a lot of nice memories.
Davis died after a heart attack at age 60 in Meridian, Miss.

I am firing up Napster right now.

    65 is a classic tune.

There are so many Paul Davis, Andrew Gold or Rupert Holmes types of artists from the 70s that really do not get remembered enough unless you are listening to the Boogie Nights or Anchorman soundtrack.

    RIP

The headline on that link, "Recording star Paul Davis dies Tuesday at age 60" sounds like he's going to be executed ...

There's a good reason for that. (Too soon?)

All those guys are on XM's 70s on 7. You just have to change stations when Barry Manilow comes on.

Oh shi I didn't realize he did Cool Night. I dug that song. Forgot 65 Love Affair existed until today. Truly a beacon in the later stages of the AM Gold movement.

Didn't Davis also do Meet Me in Montana with Marie Osmond? Or was that "England Dan" Seals?
