    RIP Sam Lacey, who cranked out double-double games in his first six seasons but was more unique as a big man with strong passing skills.

    As for the other point made in this thread about Artis Gilmore (and Darnell Hillman): Ahem...

    Got to know Sam a little bit a few years back. He enjoyed telling stories from his NBA career. Said Larry Brown was the best coach he ever played for. Sam was a good guy. RIP, sir.
