    He did a great deal of work before and after the show, but never seemed to mind that he would always be most remembered as the Professor. In fact, he embraced it wonderfully. RIP.

    Amazing, he was a bombardier in the Pacific in WWII. Made 44 combat missions, was shot down and won the Purple Heart.

    Another real unsung hero.
