    When I lived in Eugene I used to see t-shirts for the Rosie Ruiz Track Club. The slogan was "Driven to Victory."

    First big story I covered for the Phoenix. It was our superb photographer Peter Travers who came to me that day and said he had a shot of Ruiz raising her arms in triumph at the finish line with no armpit sweatmarks on her T-shirt.
