RIP Roscoe Nance

    It is virtually impossible for anyone not to have come across Roscoe Nance's path over the course of their career since he'd been on the sports scene forever. Sco died yesterday.

    Roscoe covered soccer, the NBA, the Olympics, college sports and some of everything else at USA TODAY in the early 1980s. Prior to that, he worked in Jackson and other spots covering the SWAC and other college sports.

    One of the most humble and kindest people I've ever had the pleasure to call my friend.

    RIP, Sco.
