Apparently confirmed by his Puerto Rican team. Dead of a massive heart attack at 34.

    From wiki:

I wonder how much he weighed at this point?

Was he taken ahead of Nowitzki?

Assume you mean in the draft and not by The Grim Reaper?

Covered him in his brief career with the Cavaliers. Great, great guy. This is heartbreaking.

Yup. Sixth, Dirk was ninth. Then they were traded (Milwaukee and Dallas).

I thought he was traded for Dirk

He was on draft day I believe. I think Dallas picked Traylor for Milwaukee, then Mil. chose Nowitzki for Dallas. They swapped and Milwaukee threw in something.

Milwaukee threw in the rights to Pat Garrity as well.

Arguably could go down as one of the worst draft-day trades in history.

Agreed. HOW in the HECK could Milwaukee part with Pat Garrity????
