    Apparently confirmed by his Puerto Rican team. Dead of a massive heart attack at 34.

    Covered him in his brief career with the Cavaliers. Great, great guy. This is heartbreaking.

    Yup. Sixth, Dirk was ninth. Then they were traded (Milwaukee and Dallas).

    He was on draft day I believe. I think Dallas picked Traylor for Milwaukee, then Mil. chose Nowitzki for Dallas. They swapped and Milwaukee threw in something.

    Milwaukee threw in the rights to Pat Garrity as well.

    Arguably could go down as one of the worst draft-day trades in history.
