Played in The (original) Longest Yard, Happy Gilmore and was "Jaws" in three James Bond movies.

Even if you didn't know his name, you knew his face (and his height, 7-foot-2):

Actually didn't know he was 7'2, thought about 6'8. Great scene in Moonraker when he bites the cable.

I had no idea, and I think it is all kinds of awesome, that in 2007, Richard Kiel coauthored a historical novel about the life of Cassius Clay - not the boxer who changed his name, but the Kentucky abolitionist after whom the boxer was named (http://www.amazon.com/Kentucky-Lion-True-Story-Cassius/dp/0979494818/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top).

That may top Skunk Baxter's work as a missile defense consultant when it comes to strange and interesting celebrity side jobs.

And then at the end when he finds a mate who has similarly atrocious jaws.

Kiel had five good minutes in Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid.

    "Guns or knives Butch?"

That was Ted Cassidy, AKA "Lurch" from "The Addams Family."

  9. Yeah well, he sucked in "My Giant!"

Seriously, Moonraker was the Worst of the Bond movies. The. Worst.
